I was asked to help out officiating this year at Winter Champs in St. George. I have not helped at this tournament for many years so it was kinda weird to be down there. The tournament was Saturday (17th) and Sunday (18th). I worked at Bloomington CC on Saturday and Sky Mountain on Sunday. There were a few events going on in southern Utah so Friday night I spent in Cedar City. I left early Friday and geocached on the way. I went to a Mexican restaurant, Lapito's. It was great. Loved the atmosphere and the food. I stayed at the Abby Inn which was also nice. Soft beds!!!!
Early Saturday, I headed to Bloomington to work rules. It was very windy and I thought a few times the wind was going to pick up my truck and put it somewhere else besides to road. After the round I checked in at Ramada and listened to 50 million screaming kids all night! Sunday morning I headed to Sky Mountain where it rained, snowed, blew, and everything in between. I am so glad I didn't have to golf in it but next time I am going to take my cart cover. I got lucky coming home as I went right between each snow storm except between New Harmony and Cedar City. There it was a white out but I made it safely home. My next golf event I am working will be at East Bay and will be a USGA Women's Senior Open Qualifying so I don't have to travel too far.
